Cookies and storage

No optional cookies

Jym does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Every cookie we set is there so sign-in can work. You do not get a consent banner, because there is nothing non-essential to accept.

If we add analytics later, we will ask you first and we will update this page.

Cookies

These are set on jym.grok.me when you sign in. They are essential.

  • __Host-grok-auth.session_token. Keeps you signed in. It is removed when you sign out.
  • __Host-grok-auth.session_data. A short copy of the session so the page can load without asking the database every time. It lasts about five minutes.
  • __Host-grok-auth.account_data and __Host-grok-auth.dont_remember. Set by the sign-in system when it needs them. They are part of the same login, not marketing.
  • __Host-grok_gate_session. Used only when a Grok session is passed into the app. It is not set for an ordinary visit.

On this phone

Some information never becomes a cookie. It stays in the browser, on the device. You can remove it with “Clear data on this phone” if you have no account, or by clearing the site in your browser settings.

  • jym-sessions-v1:guest and jym-sessions-v1:u: followed by an account id. Your sets on this phone. Older copies may still be under jym-sessions-v1 or floorform-sessions-v1 until the app moves them.
  • jym-record-pref (and floorform-record-pref). Whether recording is switched on.
  • jym-coach (and floorform-coach). Which coach voice you picked, if any.
  • jym-guest in session storage (and floorform-guest). Remembers that you chose to count without an account, until you close the tab.
  • grok-auth.bearer-token in session storage. Used only inside the Grok preview, where cookies are blocked. It is not used for a normal visit to jym.grok.me.
  • jym-media in the browser’s IndexedDB (and floorform-media). Recorded clips. They stay on the phone.
